Friendly Fisherman Restaurant in Madeira Beach

Great atmosphere. Food service. Nice view. Cheese squares were good. King crab was great. Stuffed tilapia is worth coming back for. Crab cake appetizer is great and good value. Family friendly with specialty kids drinks. Limited outdoor seating. On the boardwalk with shopping nearby. Key lime pie did not disappoint.

Family dined here after a great dolphin excursion. I enjoyed the blackened Grouper although I felt fish portion was small for the price. Others in my party enjoyed the Grouper Nuggets and fries. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about what was safe for my dietary request. I am only able to eat Gluten Free and they were happy to accommodate my requests. Thanks for making dining out a pleasure.

Had about a 40 min wait to be seated, but considering it was the weekend during summer season that was to be expected. Staff was super nice and polite, great service and atmosphere. The fried oyster appetizer and salad and fried shrimp were fantastic. Only complaint was my broiled lobster tail was a little dry and the price of a non alcoholic pina colada was only a dollar less than an alcoholic one and was served in a plastic cup a stemmed glass would have been nice for the price atleast.

Ill keep this short and sweet as possible. My daughter wanted crab legs and i warned her that this was probably not a good decision - however - its vacation and I wanted to let her try them. She and her friend ordered the 1/2 lb dinner. I am not exaggerating - there was 3 legs on the plate that were very skimpy. everyone at our table gasped like it was a joke. The rest of the food was ok.... Good - but not anything I would be willing to return and indulge. We all spent forever waiting on a single drink refills (Water). Would not recommend at all! Tourist trap with nice views and location.

Food was fresh and amazing, after just opening up from the pandemic me and my wife had a beautiful view of the ocean on the outside seating and got to see some dolphins as well. Will be back soon.

Good food. Fast and friendly service. We ordered calamari for appetizers and it’s one of the best I had, great clam chowder too. Bathrooms were clean and music was not loud.

Tonight I went to eat dinner & encountered probably the rudest woman I’ve ever met in my entire life. I had been waiting in line for 25 minutes for a glass of WATER when this woman, a typical Karen, shoved me out of line & refused to acknowledge that I had been standing there. She then proceeded to try and order 4 margaritas & told me she didn’t “give a (insert dirty word here)“ that I had been standing there. She was nasty to me in front of the entire staff. I know it was just a glass of water, but you don’t act like that. The manager, who was AWESOME, politely refused to serve her for how she acted & asked her to leave the building. I’m so glad that there are still some decent people on this planet who acknowledge when someone is being a complete jerk. Thank you friendly fisherman, you guys definitely live up to your name!!!

It was fine ... food was alright, but nothing spectacular. They were out of what I went for, nor did they have my wine. I hated paying 5.00 to park to not get what I went for ... so a little disappointed. But nothing horrible.

Fast friendly service! Great location overlooking the water. We had fried oysters and key lime pie — perfect! I highly recommend and would definitely come back.

A very nice eatery with a great view of John's Pass! We saw dolphins on our visit here. The food was also really great, and the service was prompt and friendly.

The Friendly Fisherman is a great place to go to cook your catch. The food there is great and the inside looks nice. It's definitely one of the best restaurants at John's Pass.

We went to this restaurant and it was great Tracy was our server and she was awesome. The food was great. We ordered the crab cakes and they weren’t to my liking and they were understanding and took it off our bill and we enjoyed the clam chowder it was delicious.
